Russell Brand and Katy Perry tie the knot in a private ceremony in India: Comedian Russell Brand has tied the knot with American pop singer Katy Perry at a private ceremony in India. A Christian Minister had conducted the wedding where both Brand, 35 and Perry, 25 were dressed in Indian traditional attire with Perry dressed in a sari. The duo met on September 2009, at the MTV Video Music Awards where Brand was the host. The wedding ceremony took place at the Aman-e-Khas luxury resort just outside the Ranthambhore tiger sanctuary. It was last December when Brand proposed to Perry outside Taj Mahalthe symbol of love in India. A spokesperson stated The very private and spiritual ceremony, attended by the couples closest family and friends, was performed by a Christian minister and long time friend of the Hudson [Perry] Family.
