Zandu Pharmaceuticals has sued Dabangg for using the word Zandu Balm in the lyrics of the song Munni badnaam performed by Malaika Arora. The company has slapped a notice on Arbaaz Khan Productions Private Limited on using the words Zandu Balm in the popular song. They have claimed that the name has been used in the song without their consent. The manufacturers of the pain-relieving ointment have threatened to sue the makers and asked them to withdraw the song or remove the name of the product from it. The company is not amused with the lyrics Zandu balm hui, darling tere liye and they have dashed off a notice, dated September 17, claiming it is the sole copyright holder of not only the product, but as also the name Zandu balm. The notice has been sent by Zandus counsel Ashok M Saraogi to Arbaaz Khan, his partner and wife Malaika Arora (Munni in the movie), Shri Ashtavinayak Cinemas Ltd, and director Abhinav Kashyap.
