Sultan Rahis 14th death anniversary today

The 14th death anniversary of Pakistani film legend Sultan Rahi is being observed today. Rahi was named as Sultan Muhammad when born on 1938.He remained the most popular Punjabi hero during 1970s and 1980s.He appeared in more than 700 Punjabi and Urdu-language flicks, and named in the Guinness Book of Records as the most prolific actor.Some of his major films include Maula Jatt, Sher Khan, Chan Veryam, Kaley Chore, and The Godfather. His successful film career came to an end on 9 January 1996, when he was shot and killed by unidentified persons during a highway robbery on Grand Trunk Road near Gujranwala, while coming back to Lahore from Islamabad. He was 58.
