Muhammad Rafis son asks Lata to produce apology letter if there was any.

Recently, when a leading tabloid carried an interview on Lata Mangeshkar, it came across as one of the regular interviews. All it took was a statement from Lataji wherein she spoke about her war with Mohd.Rafi by saying that, Composer Jaikishan took the initiative (of patching them). I asked him to get a written apology from Rafi saab.I got the letter and ended the cold war.To this, Shahid Rafi, son of late Mohammad Rafi, held a press conference claiming that such a letter writing incident never took place between his father and her.He also challenged Lata to prove her stand by producing the letter for everyone to see.Talking to the media, Shahid said that My father was a national property. His fan following is larger than any artist. If she (Lata) can prove that my father had written an apology letter to her, then she should come out and produce it. In case she does, I am ready to apologize to her.He also pointed out that, People literally worship and do pooja of my father, but not of hers I think she is insecure of my fathers fan following and thats why she has done this.Suman Kalyanpur, Hemlata and Mubarak Begum and others who might have been competition to her, so maybe her career was at stake. Shahid also questioned that if this letter was with Lata, then why did she mention it after so many years.He also hinted at the whole thing could just be a publicity stunt from her end.
