Bol Bachchan beats Singham business record

Rohit Shetty's film Bol Bachchan scored Rs 43.10 crores in three days.

It beat the first weekend collection record of Housefull 2 and Singham, which have joined the club of 100 crore movies. However, the film failed to surpass the record of Akshay Kumars Rowdy Rathore.Reports say that Bol Bachchans business was affected by Eega in South and Jatt and Juliet in North India. The movie raked in Rs.12.10 crores nett on the first day. Whereas, Housefull 2 and Singham had collected Rs.13.25 crore and Rs.9.03 crores, respectively.After the opening day collection of Rs.12.10 crore, the action-comedy went nearly houseful on the weekend and amassed Rs.50.13 crore by Monday.A comical entertainer, Bol Bachchan has been able to pull in audiences in large numbers. Even internationally, it is doing extremely well when compared to other recent releases overseas.It earned a total of $2.06 million over the weekend - $540,000 (US), $255,000 (Britain), $650,000 (Middle East), $167,000 (Australia) and $450,000 from the rest of the world.
