If the momentum continues unabated, we might see the movie cruising into the Rs. 100 crore club in the coming weeks.Rowdy Rathore has turned out to be the biggest opener ever for Akshay Kumar. The film raked in a whopping Rs. 15.1 crore on Friday, 14.7 crore on Saturday and peaked with Rs. 18.5 on Sunday. The first weekend collection stand at Rs. 48.3 crore nett in India. Thecollection didn’t nosedive on Monday and with another Rs. 9.5 crore in its kitty, the film has raked in about Rs. 57. 8 crore in its four-day run at box office.Doing just a rough comparison, Rowdy Rathore is charting the same course at box office as Salman Khan’s runaway hit Dabangg had in 2010. Dabangg, too, had the first weekend collection of Rs. 48 crore.Trade analysts opine that if Rowdy Rathore continues with same momentum, it is destined to enter the Rs. 100 crore club.If so happens, it would be Akshay Kumar’s second film in 2012 to enter the 100 crore club. In April, Housefull 2 had crossed the mark after a three-week run at theatres.
