Jason Statham premieres new action movie 'Safe'.

Actor Jason Statham said it was nice to be home in London for the European premiere of his latest action movie Safe.After making his name as an actor starring in Guy Ritchies gangster movie Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Statham has gone on to play a series of hard-man characters. However he explained there is something different about his new thriller: Certain things I havent done before, you know, the relationship with a young girl is the driving force which I think is very sweet and I get to save her from the evil grips of the Russian mafia and the triads.Statham plays a down on his luck cage fighter in Safe, who finds himself in trouble with the New York mafia when he tries to save a young girl.As well as promoting Safe, box office heavyweight Statham, is currently making Hummingbird, a thriller about a reformed war veteran who has to deal with his violent past, speaking about his new project Statham said: I am doing a really interesting film at the moment called Hummingbird with Steven Knight, who is one of the greatest writers, and he is directing this film, for me its a huge leap in a dramatically direction never done anything like it, have to wait and see how it turns out, but for me its a completely new challenge.
