As always, for Rowdy Rathore too Akshay has been adamant on performing the stunts himself. As a precautionary measure, the makers of the film had no option but to insure the star.Rowdy Rathore has many raw action scenes and everyone was worried about Akshay doing the scenes himself as they could be fatal. The makers of the film thus insured him at a heavy premium even before the film started. However, whats interesting is that Akshay has been reportedly insured for a whopping amount of around Rs. 50 crore.This will not be the first time that filmmakers have taken out insurance claims against actors. In the past UTV, Karan Johar and Yash Raj Films have insured their movies, but now the trend of insuring stars is soon catching up in Bollywood.
