PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – The Peshawar High Court has granted protective bail to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Senator Faisal Javed, preventing his arrest in registered cases.

A bench comprising Justice Sahibzada Asadullah and Justice Sabitullah heard Faisal Javed’s petition seeking details of cases against him.

The petitioner’s lawyer informed the court that a request had been filed to obtain case details.

Deputy Attorney General Malik Daniyal Khan stated that 16 FIRs had been registered against Faisal Javed in Islamabad and that details had been provided for his appearance before relevant courts.

The court directed the federal government to submit a report if there were additional cases.

Special Prosecutor General NAB, Muhammad Ali, assured that a response from NAB would also be submitted.

Justice Sahibzada Asadullah remarked that since protective bail had been granted the previous day in another case, the same date would be given for this one as well. He assured Faisal Javed that he would not be arrested and could proceed with his Umrah journey. The court granted him protective bail until April 15.
