About 140 students, who stood first, second and third positions in SSC examination awarded prizes.

In a bid to encourage the tribal students to continue their studies, the Political Administration of Bajaur Agenc, in collaboration with education department, has distributed prizes among position holder students of state run high schools of conflict hit areas.Additional Political Agent Bajaur Agency Usman Khalid was the chief guest while APA Nawagai Mohammad Tariq, Political Tesildar Shah Naseem, Political Tehsildar Nawagai Irshad Khan, Political Tehsildar Khar Mohammad Sohail, Political Tehsildar Salarzai Saz Mohammad, Agency education officer Lal Zada, Government officials, tribal elders, teachers, students and their parents were also present on the occasion.Around 140 male and female students from 26 Government schools of the agency, who clinched top three positions in their respective schools in the matric examination 2009-10, were awarded in the ceremony. Additional Political agent and AEO distributed prizes among the top performing students to encourage and motivate them in their future studies.Speaking at the ceremony, the Additional Political Agent Usman Khalid congratulated and praised the students especially the girl’s position-holders for their courage of getting education despite difficult circumstances and several problems in the area.
