Hundreds of school children in Faisalabad participate in Science Festival

(Web Desk) – A two-day science festival for school children was held in Faisalabad at the Expo-Centre, University of Agriculture.
The festival was one of the largest science festivals in the city aiming to promote interest in science and math among students.
Organised by district authorities including District Education Authority Faisalabad, District Government Faisalabad, and Roshan Kinara and Pakistan Alliance for Maths and Science, students from both private and government schools participated in the festival.

According to the event organisers, over 6000 students from nearly 200 government and private schools of Faisalabad displayed different science models. The festival witnessed an exceptionally large participation of girls’ schools from the region.
Students exhibited more than 255 science models in the festival, which included many innovative concepts such as robotics, sensors for disabled children, smart lightning control systems, mini drones that could carry medicines and aid packages for people in need, various products used from recycled material and model of solar city displaying solar panels for greener lifestyle.

Among the attendees were teachers, entrepreneurs, science specialists and government officials who praised the work of all the students.
Speaking to Dunya News, participating students said that events like these will help them in their practical lives adding that they had learned a lot after taking part in the festival.
Teachers in the festival called on the need to encourage mediums like these for students.
