AIOU to support Waseela-e-Taleem Programme

Allama Iqbal Open University will fully support BISP’s Waseela-e-Taleem Programme.

 

Stated the announcement while presiding over a meeting held here, Prof. Dr. Nazir Ahmed Sangi, Vice-Chancellor said that. “We wish to be equal partners of government to ensure that each and every child gets enrolled in school”.


The Vice-Chancellor further said that AIOU as a national university was committed to ensure education for all by supporting all relevant educational plans.


Dr. Sangi said that Waseela-e-Taleem Programme was an important step towards the development of primary and secondary level education in the Country.


He said that AIOU had already launched a comprehensive plan to provide education to dropout children in various parts of the Country, and cooperation of provincial government and concerned international organization, was being actively sought in this connection.


The Vice-Chancellor also congratulated President Asif Ali Zardari and Chairperson BISP Farzana Raja for launching the Waseela-e-Taleem Programme, expressing hopes that it would be a milestone in pushing forward the implementation of million goals 2015.
