FIA Lahore arrests two suspects in migrant smuggling and visa fraud case; over PKR 3.6 million collected from citizens, investigation and search for accomplices underway.
LAHORE (Dunya News) - The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Lahore Zone has arrested two suspects involved in migrant smuggling and visa fraud as part of an operation targeting human smuggling networks.
According to an FIA spokesperson, the arrested individuals, Ghaznfar Ali and Muhammad Samiullah, were taken into custody from various locations in Lahore and Mianwali.
Z2C denies any involvement in FIA case
Officials stated that the suspects had collected over PKR 3.6 million from citizens by promising work visas for the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Myanmar.
However, they failed to send the individuals abroad and subsequently went into hiding.
The FIA has launched investigations into the arrested suspects, while the search for other possible accomplices within the smuggling network is ongoing.
