KARACHI (Dunya News) - In a joint intelligence-based operation, Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) and the Special Investigation Unit (SIU) of police carried out a targeted raid in Lyari, arresting two alleged extortionists identified as Adnan alias Mulla and Faisal.

According to a spokesperson for Sindh Rangers, the arrested suspect Adnan alias Mulla is affiliated with the extortion network linked to the Sudees Pappu group.

The suspect, along with his accomplice Muaz, was reportedly involved in collecting protection money from businessmen in the Jehanabad area of SITE Town.

Authorities stated that the group had been intimidating local traders and demanding regular payments.

The spokesperson further revealed that the second suspect, Faisal, is a close associate of notorious extortion ring leader Jameel Changa.

Faisal was allegedly in contact with other members of the gang and was actively involved in transferring extortion funds across different parts of the city.

Law enforcement agencies believe the arrests represent significant progress in ongoing efforts to dismantle organized extortion networks operating in Lyari and adjoining areas.

Officials confirmed that raids are underway to apprehend other accomplices linked to the suspects.

Authorities reiterated their commitment to continuing operations against criminal elements to restore peace and protect business communities in the city.
