Suspected robber killed in Karachi police 'encounter'

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Police have claimed to have exterminated an alleged robber after an exchange of fire on Ayesha Manzil Flyover, Azizabad, Dunya News reported here on Tuesday.
According to police, a team of police was giving duty on the flyover when, on suspicion, they gave a signal to two persons riding a bike to stop for checking.
Instead, the bike riders opened fire on police, which was returned in a befitting manner.
When the shootout ended, police searched the area and found a robber dead, who was later identified as Muhammad Raja. His accomplice managed to escape.
Police claimed that the outlaw was wanted in many cases of heinous crimes. Arms and valuables have seized. Further investigation is under way.
