LAHORE (Dunya News) – Two robbers on Saturday gunned down a schoolteacher and injured his son on resistance in Iqbal Town's Najaf Colony, Dunya News reported.
The teacher and his son were returning home after withdrawing money from an ATM when two armed men on a motorcycle attempted to snatch cash from them.
They resisted and scuffled with the robbers who opened fire. As a result, the schoolteacher died on the spot whereas his son suffered injuries and was admitted to hospital.
The schoolteacher was appointed at the Central Model School, Samanabad and scheduled to go to Saudi Arabia for performing Hajj on Sunday (today).
Having being informed, police reached the crime scene and started investigation. DIG Operations Muhammad Faisal Kamran took notice of the incident and ordered police to arrest the criminals at the earliest.
