Police claim to have arrested 27 students
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Five students were injured in a brawl between two student groups of Punjab University here on Sunday, Dunya News reported.
Police have arrested 27 students and registered a case. They are conducting raids to arrest those who are on the run.
A clash between two student groups erupted in a canteen of the university outside Hostel 9. The students used batons, stones and weapons against one another.
The students damaged the university installations and canteen where the fight took place.
Police stepped up security on the university premises and recorded statements of the employees of the canteen and eyewitnesses.
The law enforcers are using footages of CCTV cameras to investigate the matter and trace the suspects.
