Police suspect her former son-in-law of being involved in the attack
(Web Desk) - A 55-year-old woman died when two men wearing mask threw acid on her after breaking into her house in Gulistan-e-Johar area here on Saturday.
Police said the woman’s former son-in- law had been giving her life threats since the divorce of her daughter some six years ago.
According to police, two masked men stormed into the house and attacked the woman with acid, whereas her daughter took refuge in a bathroom and remained safe.
With the acid attack, the woman sustained burns and was shifted to a nearby hospital, where she could not survive.
Having being informed, police reached the spot and launched a probe into the attack.
Police were recording statements from the family members in the house.
Police see the woman’s son-in-law the prime suspect in the acid attack.
According to police, raids were being conducted to track down the attackers.
