Robber killed in 'encounter' with police

KARACHI (Dunya News) - A suspected burglar was killed and his accomplice escaped after an alleged encounter with police in Awami Colony here on Sunday night.
Police were informed that two robbers were looting cash and valuables from citizens after setting up barricades on a road.
The law-enforcers scrambled to the crime scene. On catching sight of the police, the suspects started indiscriminate firing.
Police retaliated in an effective manner and killed a robber whereas his accomplice ran away, taking advantage of darkness.
