CTD captures 13 'terrorists' in swoop

LAHORE (Dunya News) - The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) claimed on Saturday to have arrested 13 terrorists, including three commanders of the banned IS, in an intelligence-based operation (IBO).
According to the CTD spokesperson, the arrested men were planning terror activities in Bahawalpur, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, Chiniot, Kasur, Multan and Mandi Bahauddin.
Explosive material, detonators, IEDs and cash were recovered from the suspects identified as Jalat Khan, Jannat Khan, Kashaf Rasool, Ghulam Rehman, Asrar, Nazir, Abdul Salam, Amir, Asad, Ameer and Anwar.
The CTD spokesperson added that further investigation was under way and cases had been registered against the terrorists.
As many as 34 suspects were arrested by the CTD in 339 combing operations this past week while 4,113 people were interrogated by the law-enforcement agency.
