Child killed in aerial firing at Shikarpur wedding

SHIKARPUR (Dunya News) – A child was killed after some participants resorted to aerial firing during a wedding celebrations in Shikarpur district on Thursday evening.
The incident occurred in village Chakar Khan within the jurisdiction of Sultankot police station where the participants of wedding ceremony resorted to aerial firing in order to express their contentment, but unfortunately a child caught up in the line of fire.
The victim was identified as eight-year-old Nasrullah Brohi. The incident left the family of victim in shock as the event of happiness turned into mourning for them.
Police sources said aerial firing by the guests was illegal and prompt action would be taken against the culprits according to the law.
