Heroine worth $5m confiscated, says SP AVCC

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Anti Vehicle Lifting Cell (AVCC) have arrested four suspects allegedly associated with international drug dealing network after a successful operation in Clifton area of the provincial capital.

AVCC authorities conducted an operation along Special Branch in Neelam Colony that falls within the jurisdiction of Clifton PS. The police arrested four suspects having alleged links with international drug mafia.

According to SP AVCC Abdul Raheem Sherazi, the arrested suspects were identified as Riaz, Zaeem, Azam, and Umer Shehzad. The leader of this ring, Shahzad, was involved in drug dealings in Malaysia, he was arrested some time ago by the authorities there.

The gang used to provide 15gm heroine capsules to travelers making an attempt of smuggling drugs out of the country. Almost 78 capsules, filled with a kg of fine quality heroine was seized.
SP AVCC further added, the confiscated heroine is worth $5m. The police have also found the instruments and documents of designs being used to make the capsules.
