PESHAWAR (Web Desk) – A Sikh shopkeeper was on Friday shot dead prompting strong condemnation from Minority Rights Forum Pakistan.
Reports said that unidentified motorcyclists gunned down Dayal Singh, a resident of Mohalla Jogan Shah, on his way home and fled. Police lodged an FIR and launched a search operation to find the accused.
Police recovered pistol shells and other pieces of evidence from the place of the incident, including the CCTV footage.
Singh’s two cousins, Ranjit Singh, and Koljit Singh were shot dead in May last marking the recent murder 28th incident of violence against the Sikh community. Radesh Singh Tony, Chairman of the Minority Rights Forum Pakistan, condemned the attack and demanded the arrest of the killers.
