Pakistan Customs seizes smuggled goods worth millions

An investigation has also been launched after taking the items into custody.

KARACHI (Dunya News) - Pakistan Customs Enforcement on Monday recovered smuggled goods worth Rs 163 million after raiding Karachi's Bolton Market.

Sources said the anti-smuggling unit raided various warehouses in Chanti Lane, Mariott Road and Market Quarters. The action has been taken under the directions of Chief Collector Customs Yaqoob Mako and Collector Usman Bajwa.

During the raid, the team seized smuggled items worth more than Rs 160 m, which also included cigarettes, shisha flavors and gutka. An investigation has also been launched after taking the items into custody.
