Lahore: Driver opens fire at traffic warden
LAHORE (Dunya News) – A car driver on Sunday opened fire at a traffic warden who had demanded to show license.
According to details, the incident took place at Ferozpur Road where the traffic warden, Mukhtar demanded driving licence of the driver. Filled with rage, the driver came out of car and opened the fire. The traffic wardens ran away from the site and saved their lives.
Following the CCTV footage of the incident, a legal proceeding has been initiated against the citizen while the probe on his search is still under way.
Meanwhile, CCPO Fayyaz Ahmad Dev has taken notice of the incident and demanded SP Model Town for report of the incident.
Moreover, CCPO has directed police to arrest the citizen on immediate basis following the details captured in CCTV footage.
He added that the security of traffic police personnels lives and property is department’s top priority, no one will be granted permission of taking law in hands.
