Court indicts three in Mayra murder case

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Session court has indicted three suspects in Mayra murder case and summoned witnesses on September 22.

All three accused pleaded not guilty. During the hearing, prosecution informed the court that copies of challan have been distributed and were also submitted in the court.

It may be recalled that Mayra was killed in Defense an area of Lahore. An autopsy report revealed that she was tortured and strangled to death.

The report further stated that two shots were fired at Mayra’s face and neck. There were scratches on both of her arms and hands, including her neck. The victim’s teeth were also found to be broken while her head was also swollen due to hair pulling.

Broken hairs were also found on her clothes, but no evidence of rape was found. A case was registered against two men, Saad and Zahir, under the charge of murder, on the complaint of Mayra’s relative.
