Multan: TikTokers arrested under section 3 of MPO, sent to jail
MULTAN (Dunya News) - Four TikTokers were arrested under section 3 of Maintenance of Public order (MPO), ordinance in Multan and sent to jail for one month.
Deputy Commissioner sent four TikTokers, including 3 brothers, to Central Jail for one month detention. At the request of CPO Multan, the Deputy Commissioner had issued detention orders under section 3 of MPO.
TikTokers were accused of spreading terror and fear by uploading sensational videos on social media.
The families of the accused have approached the Multan Bench of the High Court to end the illegal detention.
The petitioner contended that the accused were not involved in any illegal activities and had no previous record adding that they have not disturbed the law and order nor have they provoked the people through videos. The three TikTokers are security guards at the petrol pump.
The application states that detention orders are illegal, and should be annulled.
