Karachi: Police seek permission for further arrests in vaccine scam

KARACHI (Dunya News) - The Police have sought permission for further arrests after shocking revelation of Sindh Health Department officials’ alleged involvement in the sale of Coronavirus vaccine.

Revelations of three accused arrested in connection with the sale of Corona vaccine in Karachi have come to light.

According to the police investigation, the arrested mail nurse Zeeshan said that Samad and other officers of the department asked him to sell the vaccine. With the help of his colleague Sultan, he went door-to-door with the health care service to vaccinate people.

The accused has revealed that Sinopharm, Sinovac, Pfizer vaccines were sold for Rs. 7,500 to Rs. 15,000. The entry of vaccinated was included in the list of those going abroad and the money was given to the officers of the health department.
