Former SHO Sadar Okara arrested for robbing cash, jewellery worth Rs 30 million

CHICHAWATNI (Dunya News) - Former SHO Sadar Police Station Okara Aziz Cheema was arrested on charges of robbery of Rs 30 million.

A case has been registered against former SHO Inspector Aziz Cheema, 6 policemen and 5 private persons on the complaint of Muhamamd Saleem, resident of village 38/12 LK, at Sadar police station in Chichawatni.

According to the FIR, about a month and a half ago, the former SHO of Okara police station raided Hakim Ali s house along with six policemen and five private individuals.

During the raid, they took nearly Rs 30 million in cash and jewellery from Hakim Ali s house. Police also took away five people, including a woman and a newborn baby.

According to the FIR, the senior officers had suspended SHO Aziz Cheema and ordered an inquiry.

The inquiry report found all the accused, including the SHO, guilty. Former SHO Okara also filed a false case of drug trafficking against the plaintiff.

The police station has registered a case against the accused and arrested two accused including former SHO Aziz Cheema.
