IGP Balochistan dismisses DSP legal for smuggling illegal vehicles

QUETTA (Dunya News) - Inspector General of Police (IGP) Balochistan dismissed Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Legal Ashraf Ali Kakar from the service for involvement in smuggling of two non-customs vehicles.

According to a Balochistan police spokesman, the department has fired DSP Legal Ashraf Ali Kakar. DSP Legal Ashraf Ali Kakar was accused of trying to smuggle 2 non-customs vehicles to another province. He was arrested by KP police in 2018, when he was smuggling 2 vehicles. A criminal case was registered against the accused which is still pending in the court.

An inquiry was held against DSP Legal, found him guilty of the crime. IG Balochistan Police heard the position of the DSP and gave him an opportunity to defend himself, but he failed to defend himself, therefore, he was removed from the service.
