Kite-flying ban ignored in Faisalabad as police fail to apprehend violators
FAISALABAD (Dunya News) – The government’s ban on kite-flying on Basant was thrown out the window by some citizens in Faisalabad as the sky was filled with kites big and small, while the police only watched on.
According to details, citizens across the city did not heed the ban on celebrating Basant and continued doing violations including kite-flying and aerial firing.
On the other hand, citizens kept demanding the administration to take real steps to curb the deadly sport of kite flying.
CPO Faisalabad Sohail Chaudhry said that violators are being dealt with an iron hand. He appealed that bloodshed as a result of this sport can be stopped if parents, along with the police, stop their children from flying kites.
