Rangers arrest key operative of Lyari gang war in Karachi operation
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Sindh Rangers on Monday arrested Wasim, alias Bhayya, of Lyari gang war during an operation near old Sabzi Mandi in Karachi.
According to a Rangers spokesman, he was arrested during an operation conducted on a tip-off and was a member of the Ahmed Ali Magsi group. He, along with his accomplices, had asked for protection money from a builder in Bahadurabad on December 7.
According to the spokesman, the accused and his accomplices had weapons and grenades in their possession at the time of the incident. Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the possession of the accused and handed over to the police.
