Two arrested for throwing acid on four siblings in Sialkot

SIALKOT (Dunya News) – Police officers on Wednesday have arrested as many as two suspects for throwing acid on a girl for refusing to marry in Sialkot’s Pakka Garha area, within the vicinity of Muradpur police station.

Wearing mask, Qasim stormed 20-year-old Afshan’s home as milk seller and threw acid on her that also wounded her three sisters.



The suspect escaped after the crime however, he and his accomplice Fakhar was later detained during an operation.

The victims, Afshan, eight-year-old Amna, seven-year-old Ayesha and six-year-old Jannat, were immediately shifted to the hospital for medical treatment.



Recent reports told that Afshan and her younger sisters suffered burn injuries.

Meanwhile, Punjab Inspector General (IG) took notice of the mishap and sought report as early as possible.
