Police turn blind eye to IG Sindhs orders, continue kidnapping of locals
This practice is still continued in some areas.
KARACHI (Daily Dunya) – Police officers paid no heed to Inspector General Sindh’s (IG) orders and continued demanding money from locals to release their loved ones.
According to details, a citizen was recovered from police station on court’s order yesterday while a case under kidnapping section was also lodged against the officers.
Previously, IG Sindh had issued directives to stop the activity of forcibly arresting people without any charge and releasing them on money. However, this practice is still continued in some areas.
When contacted, the higher police officials including IG Sindh were not available to talk on this issue.
