Three murder convicts executed at District Jail in Sargodha

At the time of execution, the security inside and outside the jail was beefed up.

SARGODHA (Daily Dunya) – Three death row convicts, who were involved in the murders of four people including a woman, have been executed at District Jail in Sargodha.

The convicts identified as Yaqoob, Ghulam Rasool and Imran killed four people and injured a 12-year-old girl for resisting robbery bid at a house on February 29, 2008.

The security officers submitted their challan that included terrorism, dacoity and murder sections in Sargodha’s special court after which the judge sentenced them to death.

High Court, Supreme Court and even president of Pakistan dismissed the mercy pleas of the convicts’ families and upheld their sentence.

At the time of execution, the security inside and outside the jail was beefed up. However, the bodies have been handed over to the relatives.
