Two separate rape cases surface in Ferozewala, Ghotki

FEROZEWALA (Daily Dunya) – At least two separate rape cases were reported on Friday in Ferozewala and Ghotki after which the security officers have been directed to speed up the operation against such crimes.

According to sources, a hoodlum identified as Zulfiqar Ali called a 15-year-old orphan girl with the help of his sister-in-law in Khanpur and raped her for hours. The victim was then left for dying after allegedly forcing her to drink poison.

Getting information about the incident, the locals shifted the girl to the hospital where she died. The bereaved family staged a protest at Sheikhupura Road for delaying investigation into the matter.

Separately, as many as five influential people allegedly gang-raped a 16 year-old girl after kidnapping her and giving her drugs.

The affectee’s brother told the media that the suspects hurled her outside the house after molestation. Police officers said that the girl was shifted to the hospital for medical assistance.

Sindh Home Minister Sohail Anwar Sial and Inspector General AD Khawaja have taken the notice of the incident and directed to provide foolproof security to the victim family. 

A case has also been registered against Wahid Baksh, Mujahid Hussain, Qurban Ali, Shabbir Hussain and Allah Datto.
