FIA arrests human smuggler from Islamabad
As many as 250 files were recovered from the possession of the detainee.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Thursday has arrested a travel agent Raja Shafiq for illegally deporting people to United States on forged documents from Islamabad.
The operation was conducted on the complaints received from US embassy during which it was learnt that the suspect had prepared files of as many as 250 people to be deported to US.
The officers nabbed the suspect and launched an investigation into the matter.
Earlier, FIA also conducted raids in Gujrat, Faisalabad and Gujranwala, and arrested six human smugglers. These human smugglers were involved in preparation of illegal travelling documents for Europe and other countries.
Illegal passports have also been recovered from their possession.
