Unidentified assailants gun down local in Quetta

The law enforcers shifted the body to Civil Hospital for autopsy
QUETTA (Dunya News) – Unidentified criminals on Wednesday have gunned down a local near Mashraqi Bypass in another act of violence.
Police said that a local was at a butcher shop when two cyclists opened fire. The firing claimed the man’s life on the spot. However, the police learnt about the news and reached the attack site. The body was recovered by the personnel.
The law enforcers shifted the body to Civil Hospital for autopsy. The killed man was identified at the hospital as Muhammad Nabi.
Medics said that at least two bullets penetrated his head that claimed life. However, the security personnel could not gather the reason behind murder.
Separately, joint operation of intelligence agencies and FC has resulted in three arrests while anti-state literature and weapons were seized in Turbat.
FC spokesperson said that personnel conducted an operation in Baleda area and detained as many as three persons for alleged links with terror organisation. The weapons seized include an SMG, 30-bore pistol, a 12-bore rifle, a 9mm pistol and provocative writings. The alleged terrorists have been shifted to undisclosed location for interrogation.
Earlier on October 19, as many as 11 people were killed in a blast that targeted a passenger bus in Saryab Town of the Balochistan capital. Balochistan Police Operations Wing’s Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Abdul Wahid said that a time device was used to trigger the bomb that weighed at least four to five Kilogram (Kg).
The injured and bodies were transferred to the Civil Hospital and Bolan Medical Complex.
Following the attack, at least two policemen were killed in Quetta’s Chaman. The killings occurred as armed militants opened fire at a check post on Bhugra Road on October 20.
Moreover, security forces were able to foil a terror attempt in Dera Bugti in the last week. Frontier Constabulary (FC) raided Pohli area on a tip-off. The personnel seized explosives weighing at least 40Kg. Other weaponry seized from the militants hideout included generic improvised explosive devices (IED), at least 15 metres long electric wire, numerous detonators and two pipe bombs.
