Former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni was fined Rs1,000 in Ranchi after traffic cameras caught him overspeeding near his residence under the Motor Vehicles Act.
RANCHI (Web Desk) - Former India cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been fined for violating traffic rules in Ranchi, according to Indian media reports.
The incident took place in Ranchi, where Dhoni was monitored through traffic surveillance cameras installed under the city’s traffic monitoring system. He was reportedly found overspeeding near his residence.
Media reports said that an e-challan of Rs1,000 was issued to the former cricketer under the Motor Vehicles Act for the violation.
Earlier, Dhoni had also received a notice from the Jharkhand State Housing Board over the alleged misuse of a residential plot in Ranchi.
