HONG KONG (Dunya News) - A highly anticipated encounter between Pakistan and India at the Hong Kong Sixes tournament was marred by rain, which ultimately handed India a narrow 2-run victory over Pakistan under the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern (DLS) method.
Pakistan, led by Mohammad Abbas, won the toss and opted to field first, giving India the opportunity to bat.
The Indian team posted a total of 86 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in their allotted 6 overs. Mohammad Shehzad of Pakistan was the standout bowler, claiming two key wickets in his 2-over spell.
Chasing a target of 87 runs in 6 overs, Pakistan got off to a strong start, reaching 41 runs for the loss of 1 wicket after 3 overs. However, as the game progressed, rain began to disrupt the match, bringing the play to a halt.
With no sign of the weather improving, the match was abandoned and the result was decided using the DLS method.
