CHRISTCHURCH (Web Desk) - New Zealand captain Tom Latham has been ruled out of the three-match ODI series against Pakistan due to a hand injury.

According to New Zealand Cricket, Latham sustained a fracture in his right hand after being struck by a ball during net practice, making him unavailable for the series.

Henry Nicholls has been added to the squad as his replacement, while Michael Bracewell, who led the T20I series, will continue as captain. Mitchell Hay will take over wicket-keeping duties in the ODIs as well.

Additionally, Will Young will be available only for the first ODI as he is expecting the birth of his child. Rhys Mariu will replace him for the remaining matches.

The three-match ODI series between Pakistan and New Zealand will begin on March 29, with the following matches scheduled for April 2 and April 5.

The first ODI will be played in Napier. New Zealand recently defeated Pakistan 4-1 in the five-match T20I series.
