Slow procedure has resulted in anger and frustration among the cricket fans
LAHORE (Muhammed Ahmed Arqum) – Citizens are facing difficulties in getting their ‘prints’ of online tickets they had bought for Tri-nation series and Champions Trophy 2025.
Designated courier centres are experiencing massive crowds outside amid slow processing system. Approximately four to five minutes are required for each processing request for completion.
This slow procedure has resulted in anger and frustration among the cricket fans in Lahore and Karachi, leading to chaos and property damage.

Moreover, the miscommunication between PCB and courier service provider has exacerbated the situation. The press release by PCB on February 3 had announced online ticketing services for tri-series to commence from February 4, 4 PM. The fans had to wait till midnight for the services to become available online.
Adding injury to insult, the online consumers were asked to visit the express centres for the collection of the prints of their tickets.
Ticket buyers also told that the date conveyed to them, through email, for collection of tickets was February 6, while the customer support of the courier service company told them to visit on February 7, leaving a huge number of people with just one day before the match to collect the tickets.
The fans outside express centres mentioned that earlier PCB, when used to host cricketing events in Pakistan, used to take the services of another private online booking platform which did not require the consumers to collect any prints, rather had a QR code that was to be verified from outside the stadium’s gates.
The slow processing systems, unnecessary printing obligations, minimal catering counters and lack of productive policy making has left a bad taste for the cricket loves in Pakistan.
