LAHORE (Dunya News) - The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is set to organise a connection camp and has invited coaches, senior players, and board officials today (Monday) to devise a new strategy to elevate cricket in Pakistan.
PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, along with head coaches Gary Kirsten and Jason Gillespie, will connect with nine elite players, including Babar Azam and Shan Masood, during the connection camp in Lahore.
According to the PCB, the purpose of the camp is to establish a clear vision for the future of Pakistan cricket.
Participants will include Babar Azam, Shan Masood, Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Rizwan, Saim Ayub, Salman Ali Agha, Saud Shakeel, Shadab Khan, and Shaheen Shah Afridi.
Chairman Mohsin Naqvi emphasises that this is the first step in a journey to reshape Pakistan cricket. He says the connection camp is crucial for restoring the sport to its former glory.
Red-ball captain Shan Masood says these discussions will help form a strong mechanism to improve the cricket standards in Pakistan.
Meanwhile, red-ball coach Jason Gillespie highlights the collective goal of raising the standards of Pakistan cricket and fostering a winning culture.
White-ball coach Gary Kirsten says the focus will be on enhancing their approach to white-ball cricket to meet the high standards of international competitions.
