Mickey Arthur likely to lead Pakistan cricket team staff

Morne Morkel and Andrew Puttick could be given bowling and batting coach assignments

LAHORE (Web Desk) - Mickey Arthur will lead the coaching staff of Pakistan cricket team and all affairs in this regard have been settled, an announcement in this regard will be made later.

Mickey Arthur has already acted as head coach. Under his coaching, Pakistan had won champions trophy. Mickey has also been working with Derbyshire. Sources said that coaching staff for Pakistan cricket team will be finalized during next week. In this connection, Pakistan Cricket Board has already sorted out all issues.

New coaching staff will assume its duties for series against New Zealand. Grant Bradburn will be given important assignment along with Mickey Arthur in coaching staff. Bradburn could be made head coach, while South African fast bowler Morne Morkel and Andrew Puttick could be given bowling and batting coach assignments, respectively.

Morne Morkel has a vast experience of playing 86 tests, 117 ODIs and 44 T20 matches. However, Andrew Puttick has played only one test mach. Grant Bradburn of New Zealand has been fielding coach of Pakistan. Right arm off break Grant Bradburn has played 7 tests and 11 ODIs. On the other hand, Cliffe Deacon will remain working as strength and conditioning coach for the team.
