Babar steadies Pakistan after three early losses

KARACHI (Dunya News) - Pakistan captain Babar Azam has steadied his side after three early losses by the hand of English spinner Jack Leach in the second innings of the third and final Test in Karachi.

Pakistan had resumed their second innings at overnight score of 21 for no loss on Monday but Leach got Abdullah Shafique’s wicket on leg before wicket (LBW) and later Azhar was dismissed on a duck. Shan Masood could not bear the Leach attack and was plucked by the English bowler on 24.

Then Pakistan skipper came and held the sinking boat of his side. Babar’s partnership with Saud Shakeel led Pakistan to 99-3 at lunch. Pakistan managed to score 78 runs and lost three wickets in 24 overs of the morning session.
