Spinners dominate England to put Pakistan on top on day 3
KARACHI (Web Desk) – While England players were bowled out for 354 runs in their first innings of the third and final test match, Pakistan made 21 runs without losing a wicket on the second day of the Karachi Test on Sunday.
Pakistan was defeated by the English squad by a score of 50 runs. While bowlers from Pakistan Noman Ali and Abrar Ahmed each claimed four wickets, Harry Brook was dismissed for 111 runs.
In the third Test, Pakistan scored 304 while England bowled out on 354.
Before England was bowled out for 354 in their first innings of the third and final Test on Sunday in Karachi, Ben Foakes and Harry Brook each scored a valiant hundred.
After the visitors were wobbling at 145-5, Brooks (111), and Foakes (64) assisted England in reaching 354 to take an incredible 50-run first-innings lead.
Nauman Ali, a Pakistani spinner, recorded 4-126, and Abrar Ahmed finished with 4-150.
Ben Duckett and Ollie Pope resumed their inning against Pakistan on the second day of third test match.
England has scored 140 for 4 in 31 overs. Pope has so far scored 20 and Duckett scored 13.
On Saturday, England lost first wicket after Pakistan were dismissed at 304 on the first day of the third Test match between Pakistan and England in Karachi.
The innings was started by Abdullah Shafiq and Shan Masood and both of them departed early. Azhar Ali, playing his last match, went back to the pavilion at 45. The captain, Babar Azam, provided the much-needed support by playing a brilliant innings of 78.
From England, Jack Leach was star performer with four wickets.
