Pakistan will take on New Zealand in the second match of T-20 tri-nation series at Christchurch.

CHRISTCHURCH (Web Desk) - Pakistan will take on New Zealand in the second match of T-20 tri-nation series at Christchurch today (Saturday).

The match will start at 11 am Pakistan Standard Time.

Earlier on Friday, Pakistan began their tri-series in New Zealand with a convincing win over Bangladesh in Christchurch. Mohammad Rizwan shone, as usual, hitting a 50-ball 78, his 6th fifty-plus score in his last 8 innings in the T20I format of the game.

Setting the target of 168 runs, Pakistani bowlers restricted Bangladesh on 146-8.

Rizwan anchored the innings with the bat. With the ball, Wasim Jnr. was stunning and bagged three wickets. While Pakistan main fast bowler Haris Rauf was hostile and managed to grab a wicket. Shahnawaz Dahani was excellent with the bowl, conceding only 24 runs and took a wicket as well. Mohammad Nawaz bowled tight and was rewarded with two wickets.

For his prolific innings of 78 runs, Rizwan was awarded Player of the match award.

Pakistan will be playing the tri-nation series against Bangladesh and the hosts New Zealand from October 7 to 14. The same squad will then leave for Australia to play the T20 World Cup.
