Thirteen bookmakers indicted for match-fixing in PSL 2020

KARACHI (Dunya News) – In an important development in Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2020 match-fixing and money laundering scandal, a local court in Karachi Friday indicted thirteen bookmakers linked with an international network.

The bookies had contacted a cricketer during the fifth edition of the tournament and planned to defame Pakistan with the help of an international group. Mobile phones and other important evidences were recovered from the suspects.

On the other hand, the accused have denied any involvement in the illegal activity. The court issued notices to witnesses of the case and adjourned the hearing.
