Wahab Riaz forgets run up on five consecutive attempts

The embarrassing situation came about in the 111th over when he was bowling to Karunaratne.
DUBAI (Dunya News) – Pakistan left-arm fast bowler Wahab Riaz missed his run up on five consecutive attempts on day two of second Sri Lanka Test.
The embarrassing situation for the pacer came about in the 111th over when he was bowling to Dimuth Karunaratne who played a mammoth innings of 196 runs.
Wahab Riaz, who was selected in the playing XI for injured Hasan Ali, had bowled four deliveries in the over, but forgot the run up on the fifth one.
Head coach Mickey Arthur looked furious while sitting in the dressing room over Wahab’s immature bowling, and captain Sarfraz Ahmed wasn’t happy either.
Mickey Arthur exchanged some words with bowling coach Azhar Mahmood over Wahab’s poor efforts, and went inside the room in anger.
It is worth mentioning here that Riaz also holds the record of bowling more than 100 no-balls in his international career. He made his debut for Pakistan in 2008.
Another bad news for Pakistan came in the form of Mohammad Amir who could bowl only three overs on day two, and suffered shin injury.
Amir has been ruled out of the ongoing second Test match as well as the upcoming one-day international series against the Islanders.
