LAHORE (Dunya News) – Sri Lanka announced their Test squad for upcoming series against Pakistan on Wednesday in which the selectors decided to include two uncapped players.

Both batsmen Sadeera Samarawickrama and Roshen Silva are expected to make their debuts in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Dinesh Chandimal will captain the side. The key players include Rangana Herath, vice captain Lahiru Thirimanne, Kaushal Silva, Kusal Mendis and Niroshan Dickwella.

Surprisingly, the former skipper Angelo Mathews hasn t been finalised for the squad as he suffers from calf injury. He will not be able to participate in the first Test and future inclusion isn t certain as of this moment. Asela Gunaratne, Kusal Perera and Upul Tharanga will also miss the Test series against the green shirts.

The first Test match will be played in Abu Dhabi on September 28. The squad will leave for UAE this coming Sunday. Their second Test, which is a day/night encounter, will be played in Dubai in October. Pakistan and Sri Lanka have been scheduled to play a T20 match in Lahore s Gaddafi Stadium, subject to security situation.

The two sides will play ODI and T20 series after the three Tests.
